What does cat insurance cover?

What isn’t covered by cat insurance?

Like most cat insurance plans, there are some things that aren’t covered by policies, including:

  • Routine and preventative care like worming or flea treatments
  • Pre-existing illnesses, symptoms or injuries that haven’t been trouble-free for more than two years before your policy starts
  • Injuries or poisonings sustained within the first 48 hours of your policy
  • Illnesses diagnosed within the first 14 days of your policy

Did you know? If you switch to Morrisons Pet Insurance from another provider and can prove your previous cover runs up to the policy start date, your pet enjoys immediate cover, including protection against injuries within the first 48 hours and illnesses arising in the first 14 days.

  1. This offer is only available when you quote and buy a new pet insurance policy direct from Morrisons (pet-insurance.morrisons.com).
  2. You won't be eligible if you buy through a price comparison website.
  3. 20,000 More points will appear in the 'pending points' section of your More app within 48 hours of your purchase confirmation email being received. These points will then be awarded within 60 days of your policy start date and at this time become available to redeem, unless your policy is cancelled during this period.
  4. 20,000 points only will be awarded per policy, regardless of the number of pets insured on one policy.
  5. You need to add your More card number to your quote in the ‘Your Details’ section of the quote and buy form. Your More card number can be found on your physical More card or in the More app. Your More card number must be entered in order for you to earn the points. Points cannot be added retrospectively if your More card number is not added at the point of purchase.
